The effects of testing accommodations on ELL students
The review must consist of 3 parts:
1. An Introduction here the topic should be specified and a few research questions should be listed. It is also very important at this point to justify your reasons for writing the literature review.
2. A body this will be the bulk of the review and here you will discuss each piece of literature in turn. Include a minimum of 5 references. You may use the resources on assessment listed under References at the end of this syllabus. Research studies should be presented in a logical order e.g. chronological or thematically, summarized, and critically evaluated.
3. A conclusion discuss which studies have made the greatest contribution to the subject and discuss its relevance to practice.
This paper should review research and articles highlighting which accommodations are the most helpful, which have been proven to not be effective, can help ELL students too much, and can be given to a whole class (not just the ELLs)
