You can approach it three different ways. The first option is to write a conventional ethics paper. You identify an issue you want to discuss, make the most convincing argument you can utilizing logic and evidence and then draw a conclusion pro or con. The second half of the eText is about \”applied ethics\” issues such as war, abortion, economic justice, animal rights, the environment, etc. but you are not limited to those issues since about just about anything has ethical implications. The second option is to imagine your version of the good or ideal society. If you could change the world, what would your new vision look like? What would the religion, the government, the economy, education and the family look like? The third option would be to summarize an ethical theorist and theory, something I do every class.
