Having conducted an industry analysis in the previous assignment (I will attach) we are now ready to analyze our own organizations positioning strategy. Try to answer the following questions in as much detail as possible:
1) WHAT: what is the value proposition that we are making to our customers? Does it focus on cost and/or differentiation? How?
2) WHO: who are our customers (have we chosen for specific segments)? Which selection criteria were used?
3) HOW: how have we structured the various value chain activities of our organization? Is this structure consistent with the WHAT and the WHO?
4) Assess the degree of internal consistency/fit between your organizations WHAT, WHO and HOW choices? Where are the major areas of conflict? (See Porter: What is strategy paper)
