To prepare students in the study of research design, methods and evaluation for future research

To introduce students to the research process, from choosing a topic and creating the research question to a conclusion/discussion.  Topics covered include:  an introduction to the nature of research as well as types of research; type of design to use; searching the literature and evaluating published articles; what and who are appropriate subjects; data collection methods; finding the correct analysis for your study; creating a systematic description of what was found; citing the APA way; and writing research and why it is different from other writings will be analyzed.
