You will write about your experience and the importance of media in your life. The first section of the paper will describe how and why you use media in relation to uses and gratification theory discussed in class and in the book. The second section will involve analyzing Neil Postman’s arguments in Amusing Ourselves to Death about the difference between print and visual culture and the impact of television and internet on your life and whether you believe this supports Postman’s and Huxley’s views about society and entertainment.
