First I want you to know that I work on a construction site doing plumbing. And I’m taking college class and this is what the assignment is, word for word.
Write a true story about something typical that happens on your job site – it might be a job you do over and over, an event that happens daily, a conversation that seems to happen over and over. First write the story from your perspective, then write the story from another persons perspective, and then write it a third time from another perspective ( i.e.; the mechanics perspective, a foreman’s perspective, the perspective of someone from another trade, a fellow apprentice). Separate out each story with a section title or simply the name of the person whose perspective comes next.
In a section called “conclusion” write a paragraph or two about the differences between the stories and why they exist. Does any one person ow the truth? Is one story “more true” than another? Why or why not?
