Historical Personage: A great many number of highly influential men and women are associated with each of the religious traditions we cover in class (which is Islam). For this paper, you will need to write on one of these individuals. Now remember, people write books on these men and women; as such and in keeping with the endeavor to maintain a narrow topic, you should not write entire biographies. After learning a little bit about the individual who decide to research, pick a particular significant event or period in his/her life. For example, you may decide to write on Paul within the Christian tradition. A good topic would be his conversion experience or a particular controversial issue he fought over. Another good topic to explore for any individual would be his/her particular influence and/or contribution to the religious tradition s/he is associated with.
