Professional scenario 1

You have been working frequently with the same partner for the past two years; Mandy. Initially you formed a great professional relationship and were able to work together effectively. Mandy was positive and enthusiastic about her work. However, lately you have found her to be always fatigued, often moody and disinterested in her work. She appears to have less attention to personal hygiene and cleanliness of her uniform. On one particular night shift you nearly have an accident while she was driving on a priority 2 case. Later that night Mandy administers morphine to a patient with a leg fracture. The patient appeared to receive no reduction in pain relief, even though you signed for 10mg administered. You suspect that Mandy may have been substituting saline for morphine and keeping the morphine for her own use.
