List and describe 3-5 positive aspects of the interface.
In this assignment, we will be revisiting the interfaces that you designed earlier in the semester for assignment 2. You will be critiquing one of your teammates interfaces, comparing critiques, and then choosing one interface for the team to transform and expand into a multiple screen design
For the critiques, remember that these critiques will NOT be anonymous. So, you will be providing constructive criticism. These must be professional, but they must also be thorough. You will need to critique the interfaces created by your current team members.
Part 1 Tasks:
Step 1 – Your first task is make sure that your prototype is available to your teammates via an online link. So, if you have not already done so, you must upload your prototype to a site that will be accessible to your classmates via a standard web browser. You must then email that link to your fellow teammates.
You must carefully review each interface, and the team must then come to an agreement regarding which interface will be critiqued and transformed.
Step 2 For the selected interface, you must do the following:
1)Describe your first impression of the overall look and feel of the interface. How does it make it make you feel? Relaxed? Stressed? Confined? Do you like the overall design? Why or Why not.
2)List and describe the 5 most important flaws with the interface.
a)You may include more than 5 flaws, but the top 5 must be ranked in importance.
b)Refer to your course notes and the book when describing these flaws. You must include information such as usability and design guidelines that are violated, issues such as goal directed vs. task directed design, match/mismatch between represented and user mental models, etc. You must include all of this information somewhere in your critiques. Do not only include usability and design guidelines. You must use knowledge that you have gained throughout the semester.
3)List and describe 3-5 positive aspects of the interface. Again, refer to your course notes and textbooks as noted in 2b above.
4)Provide feedback on adherence to the stated requirements in Assignment 2.
