There is a debate in the academic literature and amongst politicians and commentators as to whether terrorism represents a serious threat to national and international security. This exercise requires you to reflect on the book chapter cited below and available through the M26ISS module page through Moodle. The chapter contains two divergent perspectives on the threat represented by terrorism. You will also be required to undertake wide ranging research to source material pertinent to the debate and to critically read this material. The chapter contains a further reading list as a starting point for your research. You should also use the reading lists in this module guide. Your response must contain in-text referencing and a reference list. Having read and reflected on the two articles and conducted extensive further research respond to the question: Is terrorism a serious threat to international and national security?.
