Design a literacy unit for an upper primary class (Stage 2 Year 3) to develop students oral and literacy skills

Order Description

Design an effective learning and teaching sequence with strategies for critical assessment of literacy attainment for moderation and comparable judgements including setting goals for student learning to develop oral and literacy skills in students in Stage 2 Year 3.
Incorporating:
(i) Teaching and learning strategies which include ways of differentiating curriculum to meet the diverse needs of learners in the English classroom.
(ii) Literature which gives insights to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, multicultural and students experiences using texts from Australia and other countries together with literary, factual, media and multi-modal texts.

You should:
? Your introduction should identify the types of school and learners you are planning for; a general introduction the unit of work; and, an overview of the learning outcomes and the manner that you will assess that these learning outcomes have been met.
? Have very explicit focus on: Stage 2 Year 4; oral and literacy skills.
? Identify specific outcomes and indicators from the NSW syllabus for the Australian Curriculum
? Consider the curriculum cycle in the sequence of tasks (see additional files: Gibbons p60 68 PowerPoint documentation)
? Consideration of the purpose and ways of differentiating learning for diverse classrooms
