Students are required to virtually attend one school board meeting during the semester. CCSD now records the school board meetings and makes the meetings available via audio/video format. When you arrive at the School Board meeting page, scroll down to either listen and/or watch a meeting.

Summarize your meeting notes in a document (at least two pages in APA format), and relate it to the information provided in the text. Identify four relevant issues that are related to what you are learning in this course.
The meetings can be quite lengthy (sometimes four hours). Try to watch at least one hour of the meeting, or chunk it out so you get the full flavor of a school board meeting.
Note that this is one of the more meaningful assignments in this course. You can call or look on the internet for the upcoming agenda. Much of what you are reviewing in the local newspaper regarding educational issues may be addressed and can be quite fascinating to hear first hand.
Remember this assignment must be submitted in APA format.
