1. Read the article:
Kushin, M.J. & Yamamoto, M. (2010). Did social media really matter? College students use of online media and political decision making in the 2008 election. Mass Communication and Society, 13, 608-630.
2. In approximately 5 typed (double-spaced) pages, answer the following questions/prompts. Write your answers in full sentences as thoroughly as you wish, and explain everything in your own words (no quotes please). Please limit your maximum page number to 10.
i) Do the researchers state their purpose for conducting this research? If so, what is it? If not, what do you think it is?
ii) In your own words, explain political self-efficacy and situational political involvement. Give an example for each.
iii) Compare/contrast the three forms of internet use studied in this article (social media, online expression, traditional internet sources).
