Instructions
Purpose
The theory and guiding principles of integrated health promotion can be difficult to apply in practice! The purpose of this task is for students to gain and demonstrate understanding of some key issues that
challenge those using an integrated health promotion approach to make change in a community or society.
Also, this task engages students in discussing their ideas and findings with peers.
Task
1. Identify and reflect on the nature of and significance of two (2) key issues for implementing integrated health promotion (IHP), what we could do to anticipate and respond to these issues, and what capabilities could be developed to enable the issues to be successfully managed.
2. Read and remark on one blog entry of one other student.
Examples of IHP approaches are healthy settings and health in all policies.

Approaching the task:
Four key issues for implementing integrated health promotion are explored in the final PHE5INH Module,
Making Integrated Health Promotion Happen:
? Applying interventions in complex systems
? Growing multidisciplinary teams
? Building and maintaining partnerships, networks and conditions for success
? Mobilising and sustaining leadership.
For this assessment task, students should:
1. choose two (2) of these issues to reflect and comment on in two separate blog entries. Make sure your blog entries are informed by insights from the literature, and
2. read and remark on one blog entry of one other student.
This final task for PHE5INH provides an opportunity for students to delve a bit deeper into the application of integrated health promotion approaches in practice. Students can utilise the research and thinking they
have done to undertake Assessment Tasks 1 and 2 and to complete the Activity in the final Module,
Making Integrated Health Promotion Happen.
