Structure of the dissertation

Chapter 1 of the dissertation provides a brief overview of the research including its aims, objectives and hypothesis. This section also lays out the rationale behind the research. (Done)

Chapter 2 provides a comprehensive literature review on the aspects of Islamic banking. The influence of Sharia law and its implications for Islamic lending principles are discussed. This is followed by a discussion on the pros and cons of Islamic banking system. (Done)

Chapter 3 contains the details on data and methodology for the research. Furthermore, this chapter provides an overview of the data collected, method adopted to calculate the performance of Islamic financial system and details of regression model used for the purpose. Different ratios used to compare the performance of Islamic and conventional banks are also described. (Done)

Chapter 4 contains the findings and a discussion on the findings of the research. ( not Done)

Chapter 5 contains the conclusions of the research. ( not Done)
