Cognitive therapy – understanding from studying psychology as a degree and from reading various books – which u can look up on and quote.
u can state how I work as a rehab coach and how my role involves communicating with patients and having occasional 1-2-1\’s – listening to what they have to say , which makes me feel good as they are approaching me to have this discussion with and then with me providing some positive feedback to ensure the best for them. however this is why I would like to work as a professional counsellor so I can do this on a daily basis and help clients : example part of a masters statement for counselling

The Counselling Masters will provide the next level of professionalism to enhance my clinical practice. Building on my experience, I can develop my competence to expand methods and problem solving skills of working as a professional counsellor. A counsellors role is constantly changing, not only with individual clients on a daily basis, but also with innovative research which help us understand and assist clients on an overall scale. I am keen to share my current knowledge and practice with peers, where we can reflect upon research findings and inform the development of care practice. This course will provide an exciting opportunity to plan and carry out research into chosen areas of counselling, such as therapeutic skills, to develop counselling theory and practice.

I have also done voluntary work for RPH nhs on the major trauma ward and I gained a good insight as to how to communicate and boost my confidence levels up to have talks with the patients and have conversations about their life and experiences.

anything you want to know about me to complete the statement let me know 🙂
