Research Question – How do we Decolonize University in a Colonized Country with Reference to The University of East London (UEL) A Colonized Institute? A Qualitative Exploratory Study.

Sub Question – what does empowerment and inclusion look like at UEL for disabled students

Epistemological Stance – Critical realism

Data Collection Method – Narrative

Participatory Action Research

Method of Analysis – 1-2-1 interviews semi structured question, Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis

Themes want covered within the literature review are as follows,

How Coloniality is still present in modern day ( historical context of coloniality with reference to higher education and how it has formed universities)

Coloniality leading to Excluding Disabled People in Education (historical perspective of disability and former oppressions, coloniality as a concept of exclusion)

Exclusion of Disability in Education (how these interact and impact each other)

Ideas of Empowerment and Inclusion (what is being done, if it is being done and how eg Legislations, neoliberalism on disabilities)
