Option A: This option asks you to explore Judaism via the Decalogue, known as The Ten Commandments. In order to do this, please read through them here: http://www.religioustolerance.org/chr_10c4.htm You will note that there are different versions of the Decalogue as it was restated. After reading, use the Decalogue (all versions), our text readings, and course lectures to describe and analyze the commandments, placing them within the context of the Mesopotamian/Egyptian world. I am interested in how the laws worked to organize and order the community, how they resembled other law codes, and in what ways they are still important, in your opinion, in the U.S.
