To answer the question above, we will look at a real life case studies. (Although in your assignment you might choose to use one of your own examples). Our analysis of the strategic capability of that organisation (which we will do together in class/workshops) will inform the suggestion of a potential list of improvement projects. Those projects will be presented as a proposed programme.
In presenting the programme proposal we will enact aspects of the theory of programme management and borrow substantially from Supply Chain Management and its attending philosophies of strategic marketing, and supplier alignment. Thus allowing ourselves to experience the issues associated with co-ordination of projects (for value) across a programme. This exercise, its output and our reflection on it, will form the primary data for our paper.
The module assignment is course work and will form 100% of the module grade and part of the marks will be awarded for correct style and most for content. It includes a theoretical review of programme management as a theoretical approach (which includes a series of principles) and a modelled illustration of a programme of projects.
