The essay question is: Examine the contention that nature is always contested through the analysis of a case study of one tourism site. Can you please select the Simien Mountains National Park in Northern Ethiopia as the tourism site.
The word limit is 2,400 words please do not surpass this limit or else I risk losing marks. This essay is part of the assessment for the module Tourism, Environment and Conservation which belongs to the Tourism, Environment and Development Masters of Arts degree. This essay comprises 60% of the TOTAL MARK for this module. There is no limit on the number of references but aim for at least 8-10.
The core reading list for this module is on the second page of the syllabus. The reading list for every lecture is under the weekly lecture details section on page 6, but youll only need the reading lists for the first four lectures which cover nature tourism.
In addition, Ive uploaded the coursework submission guidelines and marking criteria files please abide by these two documents which will provide useful guidance.

The material is very rich and you might find some inspiration for your second coursework (especially those who are submitting an essay on the topic of ecotourism). Furthermore, in the folder Lecture 4 you can find a reading list with 24 articles on natural parks (file Natural Parks and Ecotourism) which might be helpful for the preparation of the essay. There are many other articles available on-line. I recommend you search for the most appropriate material for your chosen topic.

In this email, my lecturer refers to a document titled James Scipioni presentation notes which includes material that might provide some inspiration for this essay. Please find this file in the additional materials. The presentation was made by the director of the travel operator Go Barefoot who discussed their company business in relation to different approaches to sustainable tourism. Ahead of this fourth lecture (referred to as lecture 3), my lecturer sent the following email:
