This essay assignment (3-4 typed pages) asks that you demonstrate historical methods of interpreting and evaluating primary sources in answering a central question of Hollitzs chapters. No outside research is permitted and the majority of appropriate primary sources available in each of the chapters must be used. Use PAST TENSE in your essays (you are discussing past actors and actions) and use Chicago style footnotes (no bibliography is required.) Improperly documented essays will not be graded and late essays will not be accepted.
