INTRODUCTION
Considering current events, a discussion on Islamic beliefs is a mandatory element in any study of world religions. Many individuals in this country continue to struggle to understand the Islamic mindset, particularly the fundamentalist mindset. In this discussion board we will examine this perspective.

What are the duties of a Muslim? In \”A Jihadi\”s Tale,\” Habib explains his participation in violent acts. What was his motivation? How does he interpret Jihad? Had you been in his shoes, would you have acted differently? Explain.

Discuss the status of woman in Muhammad\”s day and today. In what ways are Muslim women today restricted or treated unequally to men? How does this vary from country to country? How does the quest for women\”s rights in the Middle East parallel those of women in the West?
