The fate that befalls Lucille and Ruthie is tragic–more than most young girls are forced to bear. Write a post in which you briefly summarize how each girl responds to that fate, what that response reveals about each of them, and whose response you are more sympathetic to. I’m most interested in the last part of the prompt. Be sure to write 500 words or more and, as always, quote from the novel.
