1- Congress assignment
Using WWW.house.gov and WWW.senate.gov answer the following questions regarding Congress:
Go to the web sites of the two US Senators from your state and your Representative and discuss:
• Their party affiliation
• Their political experience prior to being elected to the Congress,
• Their committee assignments
• The length of time they have served and legislation they have sponsored, co-sponsored. Please briefly explain what the law they have sponsored does. DO NOT simply list bill # & title and cut and paste from web page source, please describe it in your own words.
• Their major legislative priorities.
• Finally, evaluate the job they are doing based on the information available on their web site. Would you support each of them when they run for re-election–why or why not?
