Discuss how ideas about how wellness and well being have developed as presented in the literature used in your module readings, as well as the modules themselves.

Identify five concerns and discuss one concern that these issues raise in your mind, that have implications for your own center’s practices.

This assessment task will demonstrate the following learning outcomes.

For students to:

* understand the concepts of wellness and well being from a health model and how this pertains to the early childhood context:

* recognize the impact that wellness and well being has on the continuing development of the individual (adult and child);

* analyze the social and media aspects related to health issues;

* consider theoretical and practical means for fostering the wellness and well being of children, staff and families;

* evaluate how well early childhood services provide for the wellness and well being of children, staff and families;
